Conifer is currently recruiting experienced and passionate chefs to join a busy Italian restaurant in Central London. The roles are based in Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie and Commis Chef who enjoy working under pressure and take pride in preparing high-quality food. Experience with Italian cuisine is preferred; however, training will be provided for the right candidates.
The Role
As a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards during service. You will work closely with the senior kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared consistently, safely, and to the restaurant’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
- Assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Work efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team
- Support the Head Chef and senior kitchen team when required
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with quality standards
Requirements
- Proof of right to work in the UK (ID, proof of address, National Insurance Number)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Chef de Partie or Commis Chef experience preferred
- Experience with Italian cuisine is desirable
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good spoken English
- Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- UK-based experience preferred, although international experience may be considered with references
Shift Patterns
Early Shift: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Evening / Closing Shift: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
