The role
Maintenance Technicians handle the planned and reactive work that keeps a building functional — minor electricals, plumbing, joinery, HVAC checks, and the small fixes that make a property feel cared for. You'll work alone or as part of an in-house team, managing tickets and prioritising on the fly.

A typical shift
You'll start by reviewing the day's tickets — repairs raised by guests, staff or building management. From there you'll work the list, source parts as needed, and respond to reactive call-outs in between. Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks fill the quieter periods. Handover includes a clean log of what's done, what's open, and what's awaiting parts.
Requirements & expectations
- Multi-trade or specific trade experience, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC or joinery
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant trade qualifications where applicable
- Comfort with ticketing systems and basic IT
- Customer-facing manner, as you’ll often work in occupied spaces
Skills you’ll gain
- Cross-trade fluency and hands-on troubleshooting
- BMS familiarity and planned-maintenance discipline
- Compliance awareness across fire, electrical and water hygiene
- Customer-service skills in occupied buildings
- A pathway into Lead Technician and FM management roles
