About the Role: As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining safety and security for staff and customers in a prestigious, fast-paced retail environment. Your duties will include:
- Patrolling and monitoring the premises to ensure a safe environment for all.
- Acting as a visible deterrent against theft, anti-social behaviour, and criminal activity.
- Recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities in detailed reports.
- Collaborating with police and other security personnel to improve service standards (e.g., through crime partnership meetings, Shopwatch schemes, and police meetings).
- Managing confrontational situations calmly, sensitively, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of security service within the retail store.
- Minimise stock loss and enhance the overall safety of the store.
- Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills.
Essential Requirements:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
- A valid SIA licence
- Proof of identity
- Five years’ work and address history
- Flexibility in availability to work
- Confidence in engaging with the public
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Professional approach, with good judgement and attention to detail
